About Hymne Chérifien
The "Cherifian Anthem" is the national anthem of Morocco. It was composed by Léo Morgan, a French military officer and chief of music for the royal Moroccan guard, under the reign of Sultan Yusef and Hubert Lyautey during the French protectorate. It has remained the national anthem even after the country gained its independence in 1956. Arabic lyrics were written for it by Ali Squalli Houssaini in 1970.
